Frond Ferny - I'm HOME!

YEA, I'm home! Of course, I know both of you know it hehe since I've already been out with SBFF since I came back. I want another outing hehe! Schindler's List! Yea. Hehe. Haven't done much since I came back. My flight was full! There was even someone beside me! Grr. Anyway, the guy was nice enough but he was kinda on the large side so my middle armrest was gone PLUS I found a new way to sleep on planes! *grin* I shall so try that next time. Didn't cry this time when I hugged Mum like I did last year. *grin* I actually teared abit when the plane landed because I suddenly felt overwhelmed. It's like, "I'M HOME! I'M HOME!" I may complain and whine about Singapore (especially the weather because I really hate the humidity hehe) but I do love my home.

Results will be out on 2nd July. I really don't know how I'll do. I haven't been as conscientious this semester as I was. Sigh. I already have a C for Critical and Creative Thinking, which is kinda expected lol.

Am so happy that I can play my piano again. =) I prefer my piano to Aunty Laura's actually hehe. Aunty Laura's piano is less err...bouncy. Don't know how to describe. The touch is just different. The home one is more similar to a grand. Got myself a new shoulder rest. Bon Musica. It's super huge so it can't go into my case. =( It's very very adjustable though. I'm still trying to find the optimum adjusts for myself. *grin* It's expensive though. =S $79.80. Lol. Got Aunty Laura a Creative Zen V Plus 4GB player. Am ripping quite a fair bit of Papa's cd collection so that I can put it into her player. I also got Ben his birthday present as well which is shared between all 3 of us. Hope he likes it. *grin* Mum says she's gonna get me a player too whee! I'm gonna keep my old player though. It's served me very well but the battery's well...it drains pretty quickly and it stores only 60+ songs hehe.

Am off now. I don't know what I'm gonna do. Probably surf around a little more and off to Sophia later. Tata all!

Frond Ferny - I'm coming home...

Has no one been here since I posted about my flannelette PJs? Looks like it lol. Exams are FINALLY over. 173 went alright but I probably stuffed 171 up hehe. Cognitive Behaviour Therapy is NOT used as one of the evidence-based psychological treatment. *chuckle* Indo was soooo easy, so much easier than past year papers. I finished it in 45minutes but I left an hour into the paper. Didn't want to be the first one to leave muahha.

I'm coming home in 2 days time on Sunday. Can't wait lol. Checked in already with Aunty Laura observing. =)

Winter's been mild, not cold at all lol. I'm only running around in 3 layers, sometimes going down to 2 and 1. =) Then again, I've been here since February and have gradually gotten used to the weather. I think I'll feel the pinch of it when I come back. =)

POST you guys. SBFF, your exams are already over and you still don't post. =p Merster I can understand. *grin* Feel better darling. =D It'll be over soon.

Frond Ferny - Big W bargain!

Woohoo! Who would have known retail therapy would feel good? *grin* Was reading Big W's catalogue last night and came across some cheap winter wear. 2 cotton plain rib tees for $17. $10 jeans! Aunty Laura and I decided to go today. We went to Big W after lunch together with Uncle Soo Poh. Big W's located in Riverton. It's also the place where I bought my orange Slazenger vest for $8 last year nearing end of winter and I believe I also bought my pink booties there.

Anyway! We walked into the store and we saw polar fleece jumpers. Those were for adult females but we had a look anyway. Aunty Laura told me it would be good for wearing in the house and it was like $12.67. Got a size 8 (smallest one!) blue one. The pink one was a dirty pink and I didn't like it. Then we proceeded to the children's section and got the 2 cotton plain rib tees (long sleeves) - a red one and a grey/white stripe (I'm reminded of C.L.A.Y now! Heeh) one. Those were $15 for 2. Then we saw the jeans 'bin'. There were denim and corduroy (maroon, pink, purple, violet) pants. I initially took a size 14 as it's the size I wear normally. Went to try it on but found the waist TOO BIG! Got a size 12 to try and it was just nice. It would soon be too tight! Then my uncle saw in the inner rim of the pants what we thought was an extra button but it turns out that was the adjustable waistband the little sticker on the pants said. We were looking for it initially! Imagine how delighted I was! I ran back to grab a size 14. At the fitting room area, Aunt and I made the waist area tighter and I tried on the pants. Perfect! *grin* I've NEVER seen adjustable pants before! It's really good cuz if I get fatter, which I probably will, I don't have to get new pants. Designers should incorporate this into EVERY SINGLE PAIR of pants there is in the market. Oh wait, they would lose money then. *laugh* The pants had little designs on them. I especially liked the denim one. It's a princess tiara. Hey, it IS for girls. *grin*

We then went to the sleepwear section as I had seen flannelette pjs in another catalogue and my aunt told me they were very warm. The ladies' one was too big. Went to girls' section and saw a red one. I was like, "Red...too bright." Haha. We then saw a blue one with an orange spag and cute round-eyed penguins on it. Ooo! So cute! I grabbed a size 14 and we went to try it. It fit well. I started to feel hot there and then. Lol. Looks like it is warm. I wouldn't be too cold this winter then! Aunt said I could also use the spag top to go to uni in cuz no one would suspect it came from a pj. Who would unless they had a little sister at home wearing the same thing? Hehe.

Weather has been unbelievably hot for the last 4 days. Monday was 40.4deg, Tuesday 42, Wednesday 42.4 and Thursday was 37.9. DISGUSTING! Our rooms were all so hot we had to turn on the aircon, cool the living room then open the door and place fans outside our bedrooms so that the cool air from the living room would go into our bedroom. Gosh. Thank god it's all over. Today was a projected 27 but the max was only 23.9. Very nice. =) Cyclone George probably cooled the entire WA but he has also killed a few people when he hit Wodgina early yesterday morning. There's another cyclone coming and it's called Cyclone Jacob. Owell. I hope it doesn't come anywhere here. That's it hey! Enjoy the photos! First one is of my new pjs. My VERY first pair of flannelette pjs. Never had them before cuz we don't need them in SG. It doesn't get that cold. Second and third photo is my jeans. One of the design and the other of the adjustable waist. Oh my god. I can't get over that. It's toooooo smart! Kudos to the smart fella who invented it. It's just a piece of rubber with slits AND a button. It's just a piece of rubber...just a piece of rubber...just a piece of rubber... =)

More updates from Lock Gor Gor...

Hey hey hey...

WOW! This must be a record... Two posts in a row by me! Well, let's see how this goes...

Anyways, I'm pretty glad this week is finally over. It's starting to get pretty tiring especially since I have 10am and 9am classes on Wednesdays and Thursdays and it's hard to get out of bed especially on Thursdays since the weather is just getting colder. :( And now I actually end class at 9pm on Thursday as well... bugger! Relief that Friday is free.

Oh... something I forgot to mention was that I am actually looking out for cologne. Last Friday, I went around shopping at Bondi Junction, and staked out the L'Occitane outlet first. Sprayed on their BAVX EDT for men and found it rather floral, but unique and I really like it but it costs AUD59.95 for a 100ml bottle. I then went into the Perfume Discount Shop on the OTHER end of the mall, and saw the Davidoff Coolwater 125ml EDT on offer for AUD49. So I was like "CRAP!"... Wenchao bought the Coolwater anyways cos he said it was cheap but I kinda held back. I am still really fond of the L'Occitane! Haiz... indecisive me again!

On Tuesday, we celebrated Benny's birthday! With much of Aaron's help, I managed to smuggle some stuff into his house (the cooking utensils, mainly) and also, that banana cake that I baked at home. We hid the cake in the oven and thank goodness Benny did not think to look there (although he did turn the refrigerator over looking for the secret :P). It was really fun, and I cooked a meal of pasta in tomato sauce, bacon bits & minced beef. They enjoyed the food, I enjoyed the cooking and I was just too happy to see that Benny enjoyed himself on his first birthday away from home! :)

Okay... as sudden as I appear to make this latest update, I will also disappear as suddenly... so see ya all when I see ya!

Lock Gor Gor's Long Awaited Update...

Hello hello!! Here is Lock Gor Gor and he apologises for not having updated this in a zillion years!

Anyways, I have a ton of pictures to show you guys... but here's the first one - my attempt at making a birthday cake for Benny's 23rd birthday. Surprise! Shhh... don't let the cat out of the bag, he doesn't know it yet. :P

Let's see now... first of all, I've successfully completed Math 1B in the summer with a final mark of ... 93%!!! Amazing feat!

And then, I went over to Perth to visit Mers Mork, Dad & Mom! I was rather cheesed that it was such a short time I had to spend with them, but those three days were really in essence, the best three days I had in a really long time. Sometimes, I really do wish I was over in Perth, rather than over here. I feel quite alone here, without relatives. I miss all of their company, and for the first few days after I came back to Sydney, I was kinda depressed. :(

New Session is in full swing already, and today will be the start of the 2nd week. Already, assignments are starting to pour in and I have to start reading to keep ahead. It isn't going to be an easy semester, since I decided to switch my minor from psyc to aviation and again, aviation is a subjective topic. And not to mention the ton of group assignments we're going to have... urrghhh!! Makes me feel like I already need another break!

Now, for a bit of good news... Mers is ATTACHED!!! OMG, can't believe I'm saying this. But because she hasn't permitted me to, I cannot reveal the lucky dude here except to say, he's in my university and I just met him last Thursday. He's a really chirpy fella, and I can quite safely say, he will definitely take excellent care of Mers. Now, if only they had a bit more time together.

Oh... I just finished baking a cake for Benny's birthday. It's gonna be on Tuesday. I'm gonna trot over to his place to cook up a pasta surprise and then of course, there's gonna be the birthday cake. What a grand plan! Just that, he doesn't know ANYTHING about it... Haha, the poor bugger! He seemed quite intent on tricking me into revealing the plans but of course, I'm sharper than that. :P

Well, what's there to look forward to in the future... David's birthday is in April, and I'm still thinking if I should go over to Brisbane to visit him. It will be his last semester there so I guess it's gonna be the final time. I probably won't go back to Brisbane for a long while after that, if I should go.

Okay, more updates later... Take care and lots of love!
